The certification program is about delivering industry relevant knowledge and skill to engineers of tomorrow. The program is focused on electrical engineering students and teachers to enhance their theoretical and practical knowledge which is required in the following industry:

The certification program will give you an in-depth knowledge of the area of your choice. Weekly live session will be conducted by Experts Industry/Academia . Certification will be given by Nonferrous Materials Technology Centre (NFTDC) which is an autonomous institution established under the aegis of Ministry of Mines, Government of India. The participants from each course will go for a week long hands on training program at NFTDC Hyderabad.

Electrical Machine - Part I

This course is focus on the principles of electromechanical energy conversion and its application to electric machinery. Theory of operation of machines is explained from the EMEC viewpoint. A link between the electromagnetic prospects and the equivalent circuit is developed.

Power Electronics - Part I

Power electronics involves the study of electronic circuits intended to control the flow of electrical energy. This course will give the overview of the field of power electronics on its devices used in, and their applications. We will see the extensive use of power electronics converters in industrial, commercial, residential environments. The rectifiers, and their application is one of the most interesting in the whole field of electrical technology. We will start the analysis with a simple single phase half wave rectifier and see its operation when different types of load are connected to it.
